Duck Loop: Sort Puzzle · Last updated: November 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SmartCloud Tech Limited ("we", "us" or "our") collects, uses and shares information in connection with Duck Loop: Sort Puzzle ("Duck Loop"), a loop sorting puzzle game for Android and iPhone (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
In short: Duck Loop is free to play and is supported by advertising and optional in-app purchases. To show ads, measure how people find the App and keep it running well, the App and our advertising partners collect device information such as your device's advertising identifier, basic device details and how you use the App. We do not ask for your name, email address, contacts, photos or precise location, and we never see your payment card details. Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), we ask for your consent first, and you can change your choice at any time in the App's Settings.
1. Information we collect
1.1 Information collected automatically
When you use the App, the following information is collected automatically by the App and by the third-party services described in section 3:
- Device identifiers: a random identifier created by the App on your device; your device's advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID on Android, or IDFA on iPhone if you allow tracking); and, on iPhone, the identifier for vendor (IDFV).
- Device and network information: device model and manufacturer, operating system and version, language and region settings, app version, and IP address (used to estimate your country and to prevent fraud).
- Install and campaign information: how you came to install the App, for example which advertising campaign or store referral led to the install.
- Usage information: when you open the App, levels you start and complete, use of undos, hints and skips, and similar in-game events.
- Advertising information: which ads were shown and clicked, and the estimated advertising revenue.
- Purchase information: which in-app item you bought, its price and currency, and the order number provided by the app store.
1.2 Information stored only on your device
Your game progress (levels reached, stars, daily challenges, Extreme Challenge results, medals, undos, hints and skips) and your settings (sound, music, vibration, language and the outfit you selected) are saved locally on your device. You can delete them by clearing the App's data or by deleting the App.
1.3 Information you send us
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the content of your message.
1.4 Information we do not collect
The App does not require an account and does not ask for your name, phone number, contacts, photos, microphone, camera or precise location. Payments are handled entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store; we never receive your card or bank details.
2. How we use information
- To provide the game, deliver purchased items and restore purchases;
- To show advertising, including personalized ads where you have allowed it, and to limit how often ads are shown;
- To measure the performance of our own advertising campaigns (which campaigns lead to installs and purchases);
- To understand how the App is used, fix problems and improve gameplay, including testing different game settings;
- To detect and prevent fraud, invalid traffic and abuse;
- To respond to your messages and to comply with legal obligations.
3. Third-party services and sharing
We use the following partners. They may collect the information described in section 1.1 directly through their software in the App and process it under their own privacy policies:
| Partner | Purpose | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob and Google's User Messaging Platform | Advertising, ad mediation, consent management | policies.google.com/privacy How Google uses information from apps that use its services |
| Unity Ads (Unity Technologies) | Advertising | unity.com/legal/game-player-and-app-user-privacy-policy |
| Pangle | Advertising | www.pangleglobal.com/privacy |
| Mintegral | Advertising | www.mintegral.com/en/privacy |
| Google Play and Apple App Store | Distribution of the App and payment processing for in-app purchases | Google Privacy Policy · Apple Privacy Policy |
Through Google AdMob, other advertising companies may also take part in ad auctions in the App. In addition:
- Our analytics and attribution service: the usage, install, purchase and advertising information described above is sent to our own analytics and attribution service, operated by us or our service providers on our behalf.
- Advertising platforms we use to promote the App: we may share limited install and in-app event information (such as an install, a completed level or a purchase, together with a device or campaign identifier) with platforms on which we advertise Duck Loop, so that we can measure and improve our campaigns.
- Legal reasons: we may disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, users or the public.
- Business transfers: if our business or the App is transferred, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Some laws treat the sharing of device identifiers for personalized advertising as a "sale" or "sharing"; see section 4 for how to opt out.
4. Your choices
- Consent in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland: when you first open the App in these regions, we ask for your consent through Google's consent message before personalized ads are shown and before your advertising identifier is used for our analytics and attribution. You can review or change your choice at any time in the App under Settings → Ad Privacy Settings.
- Advertising identifier: on Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's Google or Privacy settings; on iPhone you can control tracking under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Ads will still appear but will be less personalized.
- Remove ads: you can remove interstitial and banner ads with an in-app purchase.
- Stop all collection: you can stop all collection of information by deleting the App.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and US state laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. To make a request, email us at the address below. Because the App does not use accounts, we may ask you for information that helps us locate data related to your device. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on your consent for personalized advertising and for using your advertising identifier for analytics and attribution, and on our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving the App and in measuring our advertising, and on the performance of a contract to deliver purchased items.
6. Data retention
We keep analytics, attribution and purchase information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, generally no longer than 24 months, unless a longer period is required by law (for example for tax and accounting records). Our partners keep data according to their own policies.
7. International transfers
We are based in Hong Kong. Information may be processed on servers in Hong Kong, mainland China and other countries where we or our partners operate, which may have different data protection laws than your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
8. Children's privacy
The App is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
Information sent from the App to our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). We take reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and change the "Last updated" date. If changes are significant, we will also notify you in the App where required by law.
